Face of the Day - Staff Meeting Makeup

While I don't wear makeup to my weekend job *gasp*, I had a staff meeting during the week, and figured that I'd use to the opportunity to paint my face.

It wasn't going full-on glam or anything, but when an opportunity to do my makeup arises, I'll take it!

Face of the Day - Trust Issues

I recently became the proud owner of the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in 'Trust Issues'.  I've always been a fan of the colour, but have owned very similar shades (NYX Lip Suede in 'Vintage'), so I held off on owning the ABH one.  Until now, that is.  And after wearing it, I thought to myself "WHYYYYYY did I wait so long?".

Here's the look I sported with the liquid lippie that myself and my friend Laura personally thanked Anastasia Soare for making (at the ABH meet & greet HERE).

Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutique Haul

Fun fact:  I didn't know that Shoppers Drug Mart carried more than drugstore brands until 3 years ago, because my local Shoppers Drug Mart had the smallest beauty aisle you've ever seen.

Three years ago I saw the light.  I remember thinking "Shoppers sells Benefit Cosmetics?   SHOPPERS SELLS CHANEL?!?!".  It was a transformative day.

Face of the Day - Savage Berry

Today's 'Face of the Day' features one of my favourite "hidden treasure" lipsticks.

I wish I had the chance to wear this lipstick more.  It's bright, it's fun, and I think the bright fuchsia lip is coming back, thanks to the latest MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande lipstick.

I'm really feeling the grey-toned lipsticks these days.  I don't care if it looks semi-zombie-ish - I dig it!

Face of the Day - The Trial Of Alice

Hello all!  My most recent 'Face of the Day' is look a that I put together when I went to see a musical theatre performance called the theme "The Trial of Alice".  The performance told the story of  Alice was facing off with the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter, and the Rabbit, after causing havoc in Wonderland.

The theme of the show was dark and mysterious, so of course I took the opportunity to match the makeup to the occasion.

Face of the Day: Bold Glam

Hiiiiiii!  I've got my attempt at a bold, Jaclyn-Hill inspired look.

For the longest time I've been trying to mimic the was my favourite youtube, Jaclyn Hill, does her liquid eye liner.  She makes a sharp wing in the corner, and connects it to the rest of her eye by applying a thick, yet angular line.  Granted, Jaclyn does a bolder line because she wears falsies, but I like to stick with my natural lashes (Also, I'm terrible at applying falsies).
